Mugcozy with hearts

Here comes the pattern of my mugcozy with little hearts. A perfect gift for someone you like on Valentine’s Day.

Yarn: Nova – Järbogarn or Catona – Scheepjes.

Hook: 3mm

Abbreviations

ch = chain

sl st = skip stitch

sc = single crochet

hdc = half double crochet

dc = double crochet

ch sp = chain space

3dc tog = 3 double crochet

With turquoise yarn: ch40, 1sl st in the first to make a cirkel. Do you want to make it bigger to fit your mug better increase the chain by an even fifth to increase with a heart.

1: ch3, 39dc. 1sl st in the third chain in the beginning of the row.

Place a marker in the loop to prevent the stitches from being destroyed. Change to white yarn.

2: In the second stitch: ch2+2dc tog, ch1, 3dc tog, ch2 (skip 4 stitch, 3dc tog, ch1, 3dc tog, ch2) x7. 1sl st in the second stitch in the beginning of the row.

Cut the white yarn and weave in the end. Continue with the turquoise yarn.

3: ch4, (1sc around the ch sp between the two dc tog – the heart. Ch1, 1dc in the two middle double crochet of the four you skipt on row one, ch1.) x7. Ch1, 1sc around the ch sp between the two dc tog – the last heart. Ch1, 1dc in the last stitch of row one. 1sl st in the third chain in the beginning of the row.

4: ch3, (1dc around the ch sp, 1dc in the next stitch, 1dc around the ch sp, 1dc in the next two stitches). x7. 1dc around the ch sp, 1dc in the next stitch, 1dc around the next ch sp, 1dc in the last stitch. 1sl st in the third chain in the beginning of the row.

Repeat row 2-4 two more times, so you have three row with hearts and one last row with double crochet.

Make a final row of 1hdc and 1sl st in every stitch.

Weave in the ends and put on some Coffee. It’s time for the Swedish-fika.
